Bridal Buyer Retailer of the Year 2022 - The Aisle
That’s right! Alongside the launch of our sumptuous new website (hello sleek, glossy scrolling and cool fashion-infused vibes) we have even bigger news. We’re super proud to announce that The Aisle is Bridal Buyer’s Retailer of the Year 2022!
Dubbed ‘the Oscars of the bridal industry’, the Bridal Buyer Awards - a glittering black-tie affair attended by everyone from bridal retailers to suppliers, designers and press - offers up a series of illustrious accolades that industry members dream of walking away with. Celebrating the very best in our industry, from Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – England (The Aisle) to Best Use of Social Media, Wedding Dress of the Year and The British Design Talent Award (to name only a few) these annual awards not only bring a dash of much-loved glamour to the 10th month of the year every year, but are an important occasion for recognising and celebrating the very best in the business. And, for our curated bridal boutique, The Aisle to be nominated for two of these awards (we were also finalists for Website of the Year FYI) and take one home, means, in a nutshell, pretty much everything.
We reject tradition, we celebrate individuals and we explore creativity. We are for the dreamers, the free spirited and the fashion conscious. The Aisle, Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – England
The Aisle’s unique blend of bridal magic...
Winning Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – England, makes me feel that The Aisle’s unique blend of bridal magic - something I, Katie, The Aisle’s founder envisioned from when we first opened our doors back 2018 - has been recognised and truly celebrated, and we’re so utterly grateful for that. I always knew I wanted to have my own retail space and be my own boss – however I thought it would be more high street fashion, but when I struggled on my search to find boutiques that sold the brands I wanted to try - with a fashion-forward trend-led approach - I knew I had the expertise to bring to Yorkshire a selection of international designers, in a laid back, playful space, with a really considered selection of dresses. Enter The Aisle.
The moment we won...
I certainly celebrated our win in style! My mum and The Aisle’s stylist, Maya (and their partners) actually attended the sparkling awards ceremony in Harrogate on my behalf, as I was abroad on holiday! When the news hit, I’d just arrived at our villa, and after the initial shock of it all ended up jumping into the pool and celebrating with a glass of champagne!
What it means...
To be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever get over winning this award, especially when we were entering a category that held so many other truly distinguished boutiques! Who knew five years ago when I first opened The Aisle’s doors we would now be where we are? It still blows my mind when I hear where brides have travelled from to visit us, and the excitement on their faces when they walk through the door. I’m so proud of The Aisle’s dedicated team that work so hard to make the The Aisle’s bridal magic a reality. The Aisle was always designed to stand out from the crowd, and now with a Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – England award in tow, we can definitely say that it does!
What’s in store at The Aisle...
At just five years old, The Aisle has so much more to offer. With our playful mix of achingly cool designers (meet Made With Love, Jane Hill, Alena Leena, Hera Couture and Love Honor) not to mention our relaxed bridal appointments and modern, sartorial style, for modern brides The Aisle is the ideal space to find their dream wedding dress. I’ve learnt so much, from the amazing times, the hard times and everything in between, I wouldn’t change The Aisle's (now Bridalwear Retailer of the Year – England, did I mention this?) journey for the world and feel so lucky to be doing what I love every single day. Plus, we’ve got some big plans in store, something brides will definitely want to keep their eyes peeled for...
