We’re going to look back on just some of our stunning 2024 brides who really hit the romance brief with their wedding gowns. Sweeping long veils, lace edging, fluffy tulle and chic modern A-Line looks are just some of the winners from this stunning collection of brides. Hopefully this gives all you future brides the inspiration that you’ve been looking for.
Trish Peng, Greer - worn by bride Jenna Shackleton.
If anyone knows how to shape a neckline for a little extra romance, it’s Trish Peng, and Jenna looks UNBELIEVABLE in this glorious gown.
A pleated curve neckline, stunning boned bodice, silky satin fabric and the option of two sleeves or completely strapless makes Greer a perfect choice. To finish off this sensational look, Jenna paired her dress with a more traditional lace edged veil and went for the full effect, over the face look (which is really back in right now!) Super demure, whilst also being chic and playful. The picturesque Italian venue, the dress veil combo, the mediterranean summer sunshine - it was impossible not to put this up there with our most romantic 2024 looks. Hats off to our designer and our beautiful bride.
Alena Leena, Freesia - worn by bride Helen O’Dwyer
Whimsical, romantic, fairytale. All words that we’ve heard and used ourselves to describe Alena Leena’s very specific and recognisable style. If those sound like words you want your day to be described as, then Alena Leena is a designer you really need to be engaging with.
Our real bride Helen showed everyone how it’s done with the stunning Freesia dress. A slim fit crepe dress that is boned beautifully around the bodice with sharp edges and creative line work. It’s then finished with the detachable tulle balloon sleeves that just elevate the entire look to another level of class. Helen wore a simple tulle cathedral length veil and had all white roses scattered with pops of gypsophila throughout her bouquet. With a stunning lake as the backdrop of her pictures, she looked like she was the main character fresh out of a period drama. Helen, we loved this entire look and how it all pieced together.
Hera Couture, Le Chic - worn by bride Aimee Saunders
Depending on your style, if you’re going for added extra romance, you don’t always need to go overboard with tulle, embellishment or beaded detail. The phrase “less is more” is hugely relevant with our next choice of romantic looks.
Our real bride Aimee has hit the brief with Hera Couture’s Le chic. An absolutely classic silhouette fitted dress with a ruched and draped neckline, a signature look for Hera dresses. With button detail fitted around the back of the skirt, Aimee opted for fabric covered buttons but Hera dresses traditionally come with full pearl button detail, the choice is completely up to you.
Aimee and her husband decided on a beautiful monochrome theme running throughout. Aimee’s bouquet was made up of all white flowers, the groomsmen looked chic in black tie and the groom turned it up a notch with a white dinner jacket and black bow tie - an added fun party look. These two made the perfect combination and we loved it!
Savannah Miller, Danielle - worn by bride Malaika Malik
Next up is our bride Malaika in Danielle and oh my - was this a real show stopper! Everyone’s take on romance is slightly different, of course it’s subjective, but this is just a reminder that going clean cut black and white isn’t the only version of romance that we are backing.
Beautiful Malaika looked stunning in the warmer ivory tones of Danielle with that fuller quilted drop sleeve and gorgeous A-line silhouette. She went with a cathedral length full lace veil placed higher on the head for a more angelic edge and shawl like coverage over the shoulders. Serious Courtney Kardashian veil vibes- frankly we think Malaika did it better! Her flowers were natural hues of whites, greens and golds to really compliment the colour of the dress. The bouquet was a mixture of draped long flowers, green foliage, orchids and lilies. Combine all this with her brilliantly bold facial piercings and shoulder length pearl earrings, Malaika was the epitome of modern romance. Girl, we salute you!
Jane Hill, Saint worn by bride Felicity Gains
Our next bride shows us not only how to complete the most romantic dress assignment, but also how to make something special and own it! Gorgeous Felicity wore Jane Hill Saint, which is a similar take on Goldie but made with a full length sleeve. Ruched around the shoulder for extra couture style volume, the delicate and subtle embroidery of Saint, mixed with the traditional bridal square neckline screams ultimate romance! Classic, elegant but also daring, Felicity created something totally unique.
Her colour scheme; sage mixed with whites gave clean spring summer vibes under the rustic beams and chandeliers of Bolton Abbey’s beautiful Tithe Barn. The fact that Felicity and her husband also added their sweet springer spaniel to the guest list, who featured in the photos, just gave them extra added bonus points! What a wedding, what a bride!
See you at The Aisle,
